Find A Dominant Color:

Colors are those which inspire many people and they take out their cameras to capture the scene. But they end up with a confusing image whose focus point is very hard to find. One easy way to bring an eye caching effect in the photograph is to select such subject where one particular color is dominating the whole scene. You can achieve this by selecting a viewpoint carefully and framing rightly.

Keep It Simple:

One general rule of successful photography is to keep things simple and this works perfectly in color photography. An image containing only the important elements of the subject will have a strong impact rather than an image with too much of detail.

Work With Filters:

If you are interested in showing colors perfectly in your image, one suggestion is to experiment with the filters. There are a lot of filters available that can enhance the color in a more efficient manner. Use polarizing filter if you are capturing sky as this will make the clouds stand out by enhancing the blue color of the sky.

Use White Balance Carefully:

If there are a lot of colors in your composition then you have to make sure that the colors look accurate. This can be achieved by controlling the white balance properly. Automatic white balance sets a neutral balance according to the colors of the subject. But if you want something else rather than neutral for example the golden hue while capturing sunset, then you have to set the white balance manually.

Set Colors In Post Production:

If the picture you captured is n’t showing the colors as you expected, then make sure you know how to boost them in the post production process. Use the hue/saturation modes in your editing software to set the colors. You just have to make some changes in the saturation until you get the picture with perfect colors. Do not over edit your picture as this will give viewer a fake impression.
