Through years of his career, photographer Fan Ho has received no fewer than 280 awards from competitions and international exhibitions. Fan Ho was born in 1937 in Shanghai, but then together with his family moved to Hong Kong to live. He began photographing very early with his Rolleiflex camera. At that time, he on has learned everything about photography by himself, his images convey the very simple but hard to resist beauty of Hong Kong in the 50s and 60s of the last century.

Achievements of Fan Ho
Fan Ho has retired and lived in San Jose, California from 1980. Besides the success in photography, he is also known as a filmmaker and actor. Fan Ho received a lot of praise for his work in films, Shaw Brothers (1961) for his role monk Tripitaka. He has made more than 20 films with many different studios in Hong Kong and Taiwan; including more than 10 movies that received many good reviews at the Cannes, Berlin and San Francisco.
He died from pneumonia June 19, 2016 but his photographic works and also other artworks still exist forever.
