Lady GaGa has reached the impressive milestone by setting a new worldwide record, becoming the first person to hit 20 million followers on Twitter.This makes her the most popular person on the social networking site and the first person to reach this landmark. GaGa has now edged way in front of her nearest rival Justin Bieber who has 18.143m followers, while Katy Perry is behind the Baby hitmaker with 15,785,686 fans.
The Judas singer, who previously smashed the record back in January after scoring 18 million followers, has now gained millions more in the last two months, edged out her nearest competitor Justin Bieber and Katy Perry.Shakira and Rihanna are the next most followed people on the social-networking site with 14m supporters each.
Lady G became the Queen of Twitter in August 2010 with the highest number of online fans on the popular site, when she overtook pop princess Britney Spears. The pop princess now has 13.5 million followers but is not as active a tweeter.
