Excellent Resume Designs of the Professional Designers

Your creativity reflects in the way you think! Being a designer it is expected that you are a creative thinker who thinks and works out of the box. But sometimes you may find yourself in an empty space. For others, you just need a little push to turn on your creativity and sweep your customers and employers off their feet.

The resume is the most essential thing that contributes in helping you win your potential employers’ confidence. Being a designer, your employer or client may expect absolutely superb quality work. Something unique that can help you change their opinions in seconds!

Designing an excellent resume, not only requires your hard work, but also your creative thinking. Here are some useful tips that you must keep in mind while designing a resume.

A Font That They Can Read

Although presently innumerable fonts are available in the market free and paid, some of these fonts are restricted to be used only for logos or titles. Use your font wisely! No one would like to strain their eyes to read someone else’s qualifications and achievements.

While designing the resume, ensure that you use a font which is easily readable and readily understandable. You are allowed to use your creativity. You can make use of various fonts which the other commercial professionals are not likely to think of using.

As a designer you may be very well aware of the fact that fonts are broadly classified into Serif and Sans-Serif. While the Serif fonts look great, they often tend to clutter and strain the readers’ eyes. However, it is advisable that you make use of the Sans-Serif font for the body and Serif text for the header section of the resume. The noticeable change in font will make your resume look well organized and elegant.

On the other hand, if you feel uncomfortable in shifting fonts and would want to settle for a single font throughout the resume, ensure that you choose a Sans-Serif font as it is readable and gives a clear presentation.

The Importance Of Spacing

As a designer, you must be well aware of the importance of spacing. With all the information closely packed together, the reader may feel irritated and may not give your content even a single read. However, if proper spacing is given at regular yet appropriate intervals, it will become incredibly easier for anyone to read the matter.

On the other hand, you must maintain a consistent and uniform in space between the headers and other details. Otherwise the data will appear unorganized and clumsy.

Apart from spacing, ensure that you separate different sections by formatting the font. Use the bold, italic and underline option wherever it is appropriate to make the resume look clean and well-organized.

What You Write In Header

Although it is very important that you use appropriate English while writing your resume, but as a matter of fact, your employer will mostly just read through the header. So it is important that whatever you write in your header is eye-catching.

Besides, the way you design your header is equally important. It should be in sync with what is written on the header. The design and the text should blend in together in order to create an impact on the employer.

Be Creative!

It doesn’t really matter what you write. What really matters is how you write! Be creative, write in a unique way. Make sure that your design stands out. Show them why they must hire you and lure them to fall in love with your brilliant ideas which you have successfully incorporated with your designs. Be a designer, they will want to hire!

The most important thing that you must remember is that your employer will take merely 15 seconds in scanning your resume. Thus ensure that your design is absolutely flawless and you have given enough spacing wherever it is required for a clear presentation.
