Deepti and Hari is an artist couple living in Denver, Colorado. They started making artworks with paper cut shadow boxes in 2010 with hand painted watercolor paper which was then cut and assembled in a wooden box to create a diorama. After many years of creative and try new ideas, finally, they decided to add lights effects and simplified their works by using white paper only. They have since then evolved to add their own style of paper cut art incorporating back-lit light boxes using flexible LED strip lights.
Mighty jungle, wild animal and tribal warriors are often the main subject in Hari & Deepti’s works.They often use yellow light as background for their works. It bring an incredible effects for the painting with a mysterious color like in the fairy tale and a sense of depth with many layers.
