This actually makes me think Japan is behind in web design not ahead, if these were indeed the best examples.

While the graphic design is extremely impressive on many of the sites, most of the flash sites can be easily done by mid level flash designers if they were given the graphics.

I brought up most of the pages and the load times are totally unnaceptable, only customers alreayd in love with your product will wait more than 3 seconds for a page to load. This is a big reason very few large organizations stop using full flash site and instead just use flase as modules.

While you can now do both SEO and Flash most of these sites dont.

Visual design wise the sites are good, actually, very good, if not stunning.
Web design wise most of them are just palin bad and definitely not stunning.
